Kejetia to avoid ‘blow’-traders told
The11 member
steering Committee of the Central Market has urged traders at Central Market to
move to the newly constructed Kejetia market for the commencement of the face 2
of Central Market.
In an
interview with Silver Fm’s Akwadaa Nyame monitored by SirJakeonline.com, Mr.
Daniel Ankomah, Chairman of the Committee disclosed that, allocation and keys
to Kejetia Market has been given to most of the traders so he don’t know the
reason they (traders) are not willing to move to their shops at Kejetia.
He said, all
they traders should understand and help the 11 member board to let the visions
of authorities to fulfill the promise of the government and Asante Hene,
Otumfour Osei Tutu II to construct the face 2 of the central market.
He advised
traders of central market to move from that place later by today because there
are setting buildings which are weak so they should evacuate their things
before the worst happen to them.
“I can’t see
the reason they are not willing to move to Kejetia while keys have been given
to knowing very much that, Central market is not safe for them now”, he said.
He stated
emphatically to his fellow traders to move for their own good to contribute to
the effort of the government and Asante Hene.
He also
added that, because the government is in a haste to start the face two of the
central market, he is therefore urging other traders who have not receive their
allocations and keys yet, to come to them this morning for their keys and other
