Drivers and residents of Kokoso in the Bantama constituency have express their grievances about the state of their appalling road.

Speaking in an interview with the drivers they disclosed that they pay their tax and roadworthy but they are working on a poor road.

“We pay our tax, road worthy and everything but we have been abandoned by the government” one driver wailed. 



The residents also complained on how they are being charge huge amount of fare by the drivers due to the poor nature of the road.

“If a woman is in labour at night she will surely die because drivers who work on this road are not willing to take them” one woman implied.

They finally stated that the government should come to their aid for they are dying of poor road.

Kidnapped Canadians rescued; 2 suspects arrested.

Sir Jake media.com can exclusively report that the two Canadians who were kidnapped last week have been rescued according to a police source in Kumasi.
They were reportedly rescued on Wednesday morning in a suburb of Kumasi by a police SWAT team our source revealed.

 

It is gathered that the driver of the vehicle used for the kidnapping who is a mechanic and one other person have since been arrested and are assisting the security agencies to unravel the identity of the others.
 

Our source reveal that the two victims are safe. It would be recalled that two Canadians aged 19 and 20 respectively were kidnapped in the Ashanti Regional Capital of Kumasi last week.
 

The Ghana Police Service in a statement signed by Director of Public Affairs ACP David Klu revealed that the incident happened at Ahodwo, Kumasi Royal Golf Club, at 8.25pm on 4 June 2019.
As a result, Canadian nationals in Ghana have been alerted of violent crimes in the country including armed robbery and kidnapping and urged not to show any signs of wealth.

 

A tweet by the Canadian government on Thursday June 6, 2019 and sighted by Sir Jake media.com reads “#Ghana: violent crimes, including armed robbery and kidnapping, may occur. Be aware of your surroundings and avoid walking alone or displaying signs of wealth. Ensure that windows and doors in your residence are secured”

He also gave an appreciation to the Late Nana Prempeh II, the Otumfour for Asanteman at that time for the establishment of the School.

Bantama Hene who is now acting as the Asante Hene acknowledges COP Kofi Boakye and REV. Professor PAUL Frimpong Manso and many distinguish personalities which they have become successful through the School.

He said this, during the school’s launching and fund raising of the school 70th anniversary which will come on 29th February 2020.

The theme for the occasion was 70 years of quality education at T.I Ahmadiya challenges and prospects.

During the launching, Bantama Hene gave out GHC10, 000 and also sends his plea to others to send a helping hand to the school as it is in need of ICT Center and many others.

 “He said I am what am now because of this great noble school”.


The Director of Education who is also the acting H/R Madam Adwubi Asafo Agyei, acknowledges the Ahmadiya Missions for their contribution in Ghana’s Education.

The Director also ceased the opportunity to reveal the government policies that will help the education system through the Ghana Education services.
