Hon. James Kofi Owusu a.k.a OMEGA , a failed Assembly Member in the Asubonteng, Kokoso, Bronikrom electoral area in the Bantama Constituency of Ashanti Region has fumed at the National Identication Authority at Kumasi, Ashanti Regional's Capital for telling him to go to Suyani for his Ghana Card.

The registration which took off in December  ,Wednesday,11, 2019 and ended on Wednesday, January 8, 2020, for the issuance of the Ghana Card sought a lot of controversies of which it was later extended from 10th January to Thursday, 16th January 2020.

This extension restores the two registration days (27th and 28th December) lost to the Region because of the Christmas holidays. It also takes account of the challenges encountered in the first two (2) days of the exercise in many communities across the Region where citizens couldn’t register due to the late transportation of some registration equipment to registration centres by contracted third parties, and/or the late arrival of some registration officials at their centres, despite Management’s best efforts at averting same.

However, Mr. James Kofi Owusu whose Ghana Card was on the pending list, today went to Bronikrom Presbyterian Church where he registered for his Card, but unfortunately, NIA Officials at the center had asked him to go to Suyani for his Cars after they found out his name is not in their List.

Speaking in an interview with, SirJakeonline.com, he said, this has  really been a shock to his life, for him to register a Card in Ashanti Region, Bronikrom to be precise and had asked to go to Suyani.

"Where on Earth can this be found, how come my Card is in Suyani why I registered it here in Kumasi"?, he queries in a furious manner.
