2019 Exhibition; EC breeches Law-NDC  

General Secretary for the NDC in the Ashanti Region, Mr. Kwame Zu has raised an issue concerning the Electoral Commissions 2019 voters Exhibition.

Addressing the press at their Regional Head Office, Kwame Zu disclosed that there are some breeches of electoral laws in the ongoing of the provisional voters register by the Electoral commission and expressed their displeasure at the shambolic manner in which the Exhibition is being conducted by the EC.

According to the NDC, the 2019 limited voter’s registration was conducted at the District offices of the Electoral commission, it therefore imperative that the available data polling station basis would be necessarily displayed to be verified by the registrants to confirm that they have been duly placed at the polling stations.

He said, when will the EC bring the Bio-metric Verification  Device for the registrants known that their names is truly in the voters register.

Also, when will the 2019 registrants voters register will come for them to verify their names?.

" We have had a meeting with the Electoral Commission, Mrs Jeane Mensah over the issue of the 2019 voters register and we have had so many promises from her, but as at this time to no avail", he hinted.

 He also disclosed that, they are supposed to get the copy of the provisional copy of the voters register, but if you are to ask, none of the political parties in Ghana had gotten the copy of it including the NDC party.

They are therefore asking the EC when the 2019 provisional voters register would be exhibited.
