NADMO
Director for Asokore Manpong Municipal, Samuel Gyimah during their launching of
road safety campaign disclosed how the tricycle riders in the Assembly do not
abide by the rules that govern the motor and vehicle regulations.
According to
him, any incidents concern with accident and disaster are always on the
shoulders of the NADMO.
He said
that, the main reason why they are giving this education to the Okada riders is
the high rate of accidents that is caused by the riders in the Municipality.
“We have to
give education to them because they are dominant in the Region and they are
those who abuse the rules and regulations in the assembly”, he hinted.
Hon. Alidu
Seidu, MCE for the Assembly also revealed how the Okada has come to help the
youth but he has to ensure that he puts in the necessary measures to help the
commercial activity of the work.
“Though many Assemblies in the Region reject
the tricycle business, I have accepted it in my Assembly and I have to make
sure they abide by the rules that govern the motor and vehicle activities”, he
hinted.
The License officer
at the DVLA, Mr. Joseph Tuffour and other dignitaries were present at the occasion.
