We need public school-Kokoso, Baabrem
residents to Authorities
Residents of
Kokoso-Baabrem in the Bantama constituency have expressed their worried over
lack of public school in the community.
In an
interview with Silver Fm reporter, Nana Adu Katakyie, the people revealed that,
the schools in the area are owned by private individuals of which they are not
able to afford.
They also
stated that, because they cannot afford the fees of the private schools in the
community, most of the students have to go several miles away to other towns
for schools that are owned by the government.
“Our
children’s have to cross a big river if the person want to attend public school
at Abrepo which has become difficult for them when it rains due to
unavailability of footbridge on the river. Others also have to walk almost
three miles away to Sofoline and Ayankyreniase all because they cannot meet the
expense of the Private ones”, one man divulge .
The people
of Baabrem are saying, the government and other authorities should come to
their aid as they are not having public school in the community to promote
education in the area.
