Mr Emmanuel K. Dogbevi, has urged all journalists to be well-mannered in the course of
discharging their duties.

He said there is the need for the Media to be well equipped to come out with factual and reliable information in their publications.

Mr. Dogbevi who was the Facilitator of the Program organized for the Media Personnel by the Ashanti Regional National Peace Council, advised journalists not to engaged in politics as Journalism is a sensitive work in every democratic state.

He added that, the frequency modulation Numbers given to politician to established radio and TV stations is not encouraging the media to be free and fair which should not be done in a democratic country.

He advises journalists to be professional not to utter any utterances which will destabilized the state.

”The Media is the bedrock of every democratic state so if you’re a journalist, it is your duty to uncover what is hidden in the nation, your are supposed to be independent and free to throw light on what Ghanaians don’t know”, he enlightened.

Image result for CHEWING STICKChewing stick Producers Association of Kumasi has advice Ghanaians to patronize and prioritize the use of the chewing stick which is also popularly known in the local parlance as ‘soko dua’ in the country.

According to them, many Ghanaians don’t know the benefit or how the chewing stick 
product help built strong teeth and healthy gum that is why they have choose to use the chemical tooth paste to that of the stick.

They also said the chewing stick (soko dua) has essential calcium and fiber and other nutrients of which if they are to pay attention to, it will help solve many toothaches through the process of exercising the jaw.

They added that, most often, people get weak gum and other mouth diseases because of the chemical tooth paste which it calcium is produced from the laboratory.

“The soko dua cure breast diseases, abdominal pains and other related diseases, I will therefore urge Ghanaians not to abandoned the chewing stick in their daily activities”, one woman added.

Mrs. Christine Adjei Glover, Resource Coordinator for the Anglican Church Kumasi has advice women to be effective and empowered to know their right and obligations as a woman in the society.

She made this statement when the Anglican Diocese of Kumasi Women’s Ministry had workshop training for the women in the Anglican Church at Afari in the Atwima Nwabiagya South District and was supported by Global Women’s Fund of the Episcopal Diocese of New York, USA.

Speaking on the theme, Training income savings and income generating skills (residential). The 5 days workshop  was to equip the women with handy work like soap making, Beas making, pastries making etc.

“It is my dream, that in 5 years time women can have their own work to call a halt at social vices like prostitution and the others”, she added.

She finally revealed some financial challenges they are facing and called for special aid from other organizations.



Miss Patricia Asante, a graduate and beneficially   from the Kumasi Polytechnic and was also the Prefect in charge of the Participants of the workshop lauds the organizers of the seminar and also advice the participants to go and work with what they have learn at the workshop program.

she finally added that one can not do one job and survive these days so even if  you are doing government work or any work, you can add handy work to push the family forward.
